Ian Macfarlane

Since establishing the Cape Town Medi-Spa, South Africa’s first integrated medical and wellness facility in 2003, Ian (MA, Oxon) has been drawn by the potential of a community-driven democracy of wellness in South Africa and worldwide. As director of the Ubuntu Touch Project, he aims at striking a balance between social enterprise  and his private practice.

Ian is a qualified Reiki System of Natural Healing Master and conducts classes for to share this gift of healing. He is also trained in Emotional Freedom Technique, Pranic Healing, Remedial Deep Tissue (Sports) Massage and Yoga.

He was Head of Industry Wellness for BPeSA from 2014-16.

Dawn Macfarlane

Dawn (BA. Wits, NH, Canada) is a Vegan activist and  Plant-based Practitioner, hygienist and wellness coach with  twenty years of  experience supporting health-seekers through Natural Nutrition. Her focus is on spiritual nutrition and conscious living as a creative tool.

Personal V-Life (Vegan Life) Coaching sessions open a  door to a happier, healthier and more purposeful life, as you are connected  with the information, tools and techniques to enjoy living a cruelty-free, healthy and fulfillling life.

 

Dawn's message is that of reconnecting to true healing and joy by returning to nature and simplicity.

 

She  also offers Reiki for Animals healing sessions  with her husband Ian.

Michael de Wet

Michael is the Manager of Ubuntu Wellness, where he is responsible for essential spa activity planning and co-ordination, both operationally and administratively. He has been part of the Cape Town Medi-Spa since its inception in August 2003. 

 

He initially headed the installation, service and maintenance team of the Floatation tanks.

He has extensive knowledge on the Art of Floating in epsom-salt and is  skilled at introducing clients to the incredible benefits of the hydrotherapy.

Pearl Mpange

Pearl is one of the first students of the Ubuntu Touch Project, established by the Ubuntu Wellness Centre.

She graduated from the Ubuntu Touch Training and SETA-Accreditation programme in 2013 and joined the Ubuntu Wellness Centre team in 2014.

Pearl has been trained in massage, manicures and pedicures and the recently acquired Kita Bionic Peace Sound machine.
